Summary: When people start dropping like flies around the area, people are going to almost immediately point fingers at the local weird kid. And sometimes, the proof is just plain irrefutable. But things aren't always what they seem. There are just those days when all of the death can be traced to something that isn't even human, for as much as it want you to be convinced otherwise.

History: Somewhere in the Midwestern United States, angsty teen John Wayne Cleaver is a budding sociopath who's actually taken steps to prevent himself from killing anybody. But it's not him that the people should be afraid of when folks start dying. His neighbor, elderly Bill Crowley, is in fact the vessel for a despicable demon that can kill with minimal effort, taking their body parts to replenish Crowley's health. As John documents everything Crowley does, the body count rises...

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: John manages to trick an increasingly unhealthy Crowley into getting knocked out by him. From there, the man is hooked up to an embalming device, exposing the demon. Crowley kills himself in order to end the monster's rampage, and the two dissipate into black oil.

Powers/Abilities: By taking body parts from victims, the demon replenishes the health of its host.

Weakness: Certain methods related to the dead can bring the demon out. Also, if the host dies, the demon is taken with it.

Scariness Factor: 3-Part of what makes this demon stand out is how it took the body of a seemingly frail man. A perfect disguise for something that will, say, rip your lungs out and take them for its host to have. The design is also quite unnerving, though the CGI leaves quite a bit to be desired.

Trivia: -This film was based off a novel by Dan Wells, which got five sequels, no less. Dan even cameos as a police officer here.

-Crowley was played by the great Christopher Lloyd, who had once played as another murderous and implicitly demonic character in the form of Judge Doom from "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?". The workout routines in this film are actually his regular routine at home, but they were seen as so robotic and eerie that it was all filmed.
